So sweet and so simple, this may just be a perfect white dress. It's from british label YMC, short for You Must Create. I talked about them ages ago but I am revisiting them now because their minimal designs and simple lines are just what I'm craving. In their own words:
"Where others are increasingly concerned with the fleeting, the transient and the contingent, YMC follow the Corbusian precept that form follows function. The results, free from fads and fripperies, are as close to timeless as clothing gets."
More timeless goods...
Good stuff. If you're tempted to order, they have free worldwide shipping through June 20! The secret code is JUNEFREE.
PS - like the bomber jacket? There's more here.
I love YMC stuff as well. I put them in the same category with APC and Sessun for styling. And the willow pattern is gorgeous - a lovely way to do a "floral" without being unnecessarily girly. The navy toughens it up a bit.
ReplyDeleteThe white dress is adorable - it's one of those make or break dresses - you'll either look an absolute stunner or a total dud. I've tried many on in a similar vein and so far I have achieved delinquent school girl rather than cool girl.
Totally in the same category, you're right. And yes, that willow pattern totally got me, feels somehow wallpaper-y but in a very very good way. Delinquent schoolgirl cracked me up, I see the danger. I think it would have to be paired with some tougher accessories, like boots or sandals, some leather somewhere. But even then, it might be hard to pull off. Definitely not a piece I'd be comfortable buying online without trying first. But definitely one I can drool over in a hypothetical way.
DeleteOh, those are CUTE. I think the waist on the dresses might be too low to work on me though, my boobless pear shape means I need some help in the va-va-voom department ;)
ReplyDeleteSo cute, right? I hear you on the low waist issue, it doesn't often work on not-straight-up-and-down body types. But I do love that fitted on top and fuller on the bottom silhouette, I think for pears and hourglasses it's really flattering. Of course, a little push-up support underneath never hurt anyone. It's the only way I can get my old va-va-voom back myself.
Deletemy favourite is the cross-back.
ReplyDeletei love simple lines and white colours!
