slow detox
The other day I mentioned I'm on a bit of a health kick; that includes good exercise, good eating, and also, a little bit of detoxifying life in general. You know, all those sneaky toxins that you never really pay any attention to, like the ones in cleaning products, nail polish, and yes, deodorant. It's actually a little scary once you start looking into it.
What to do about it...
You could go au natural, but who wants to be stinky? Not me. You could try that crystal rock stuff, but I suspect the people who swear by it are delicate sweaters. Which I am not, especially when I'm working out daily. You could run to your local drugstore and pick up a cheap fix like Arm & Hammer Essentials Natural Deodorant, which sounds good enough. But beware: it's actually loaded up with highly toxic triclosan. (I told you they were sneaky!)
So what to do? Try this stuff. It actually works, and it smells amazing. The Vanilla Lavender that I'm using now smells like fresh laundry. The Pure Vanilla I tried before this smelled like fresh cupcakes, which I also really liked. They have other scents as well but they were a little fruity, which I think is a bad idea for armpits, but that's just my own personal preference.
"But does it really work?" you want to know. Yes, I swear, it really does. You do have to shower every day, this is no 48-hour camping protection here. And if you go to a super crowded concert in a teeny tiny venue and it gets as hot and humid as Hawaii in July, you may wish you'd gone for the big guns. But for daily use, I absolutely love it.
I used to just shrug my shoulders at this sort of stuff and slather on the chemicals, but lately I think it's more and more important to be conscious of what goes on (and into) our bodies. What's your feeling about all this?

Love the sound of this product. Sounds like the perfect thing for regular daily use. xx
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky you can use this! This is purely a wintertime deodorant for me, it doesn't have the legs to get my sweaty self through the summer.
ReplyDeletet stopped using traditional deodorants about 5 years ago, and have found the only one to REALLY work for me is Soapwalla. I've been trying others in the hopes of finding something that I don't have to buy online, but no luck so far. Sigh….
Good idea

She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!fast loan Singapore
